About Me
Yi Yang, going by Roy, is a Chinese editor based in Los Angeles. He earned his B.S.C. in Film Production and B.B.A. in Finance at University of Miami and M.F.A. in Film Production with the editing track at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University.
Yi Yang has worked as an editor and assistant editor for short and feature-length narrative films, documentary, experimental, TV pilots, music videos, trailers since 2016. Also, as a director, Yi Yang has made several short narratives with his unique style and received some recognition in many well-known film festivals. He believes that the experience of being a director can get his a better insight into the editing job and vice versa. He likes to solve the problems and take the challenges such as exploring the new field. He enjoys the process of working with other filmmakers.
Apart from the editing and directing, Yi Yang also has the experience being DIT and Production Designer on set.
